May God reward you […] A 24 year old young girl, Valeria Kudrya, has been living at an orphanage in Oleksandriya, Ukraine from the age of 15. Her mother passed away and her grandmother refused to take her in. She lived and worked at the orphanage, assisting wherever she was needed. Now the orphanage is forcing her to move out […] Winter preparations have begun. Today it is preserving vegetables. Always nice to have some veggies in the winter. Supply is limited and prices climb in stores so canning is the way to go. See more in Gallery for the photos. Birthdays are meant to be happy occasions, especially for the children. It means lots of good food, games, friends, and you can’t forget the sweets. It is heart warming to see the smiles on their faces. See more in Gallery for the photos. An orphanage we frequent has provided their old building as a shelter for the refugees from the war in Ukraine. We decided to pitch in whatever we can help with for the families in need. See more in Gallery for the photos. One detail that we noticed during our last visit at an orphanage was that fruits are not a common food that was provided. It is almost like a luxury, something you would only eat during a holiday or something of the like.
